Construction and Maintenance Electrician 309A

Journeyperson

Description:

You will be responsible for installing & servicing building power distribution systems, branch circuits & technical equipment, as well as PLC based controls, on industrial, commercial & agricultural construction projects within southern Ontario, primarily along the Hwy 403 corridor, Woodstock to Hamilton. Industrial maintenance experience is an asset. Candidates must be willing to work as part of a team and work shifts if required. Problem solving abilities and a technical background is important. Requirements:

Experience in the Industrial, Commercial, Institutional & Agricultural sectors. Show initiative & responsibility, be contentious & hardworking, with professional workmanship & appearance. Industrial maintenance experience is an asset. Problem solving abilities and a technical background is important. Strong written and verbal communication with customer service skills. Working knowledge of the O.E.S.C. (C.E.C.) and show a desire to ensure installations meet code standards. Safety minded, aware of surroundings, quick thinking, customer minded. Valid drivers license with clean record. O.S.S.D. or equivalent May have to work longer hours and occasional Saturdays.

Duties:

Responsible for installing & servicing power distribution systems, branch circuits & technical equipment, as well as PLC based controls, on industrial, commercial & agricultural construction projects within southern Ontario. Conduct routine maintenance, testing & installations of commercial, industrial & agricultural electrical systems, and ensure installations are to code standards. Assess the parts needed for a job and place orders for those parts. Diagnose and repair electrical problems. Wire electrical systems, such as distribution and lighting systems. Work unsupervised at times, to plan, construct, & install. Be willing to work as part of a team. Ensure good quality workmanship which upholds company standards, & complies with electrical safety codes. Provide exceptional customer service and answer any customer questions.
