Job Description
An Electrician - Construction and Maintenance plans, assembles, connects, installs, repairs, inspects, tests, verifies, and maintains electrical systems in various settings (i.e. residential, commercial, institutional, industrial). He/she measures, cuts, threads, bends, assembles and installs conduits, electrical conductor enclosures and supports. Electrical systems include heating, lighting, power, communication, control, security systems and renewable energy and energy storage systems.
Successful candidate must be about to demonstrate ability to:
Clearly understand the latest edition of Ontario Electrical Code Calculate conduit fill. Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings Asset if you have knowledge of fire alarm systems installation, motor controls and drive installations and category cable installation and termination Have good communications skills in English - written, verbal and comprehension Be able to adhere to schedules and timelines and communicate back to manager regarding daily events and tasks completed.
