The Senior HRPB is responsible for delivering a wide range of consultative and HR support services to the business and its employees. while providing high quality, consistent HR service across the organization in the designated business units working both strategically and tactically. This position is currently responsible for supporting our Montreal and Ottawa businesses and has an HR Advisor reporting. The position can be based in Montreal or Ottawa.

Key Contacts: HR Community, Finance, Payroll, General Managers and VPs.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

Manage employee relation issues and support managers in performance, employee relations, retention, hiring and employment termination.

Work with site leaders to implement corporate policies related to human resources, organizational and employee development plans for the business unit.

Provide guidance on people practices and strategies such as restructures and succession planning.

Work closely with local HR team members and other HRBP\xe2\x80\x99s within the wider Canadian HR teams.

Work closely with internal recruitment and training specialists to maintain overall HR engagement and service to stakeholders and customers.

Be the local point of contact for managers regarding a wide range of HR topics, e.g.: pay and benefit enquiries, company policy questions and day to day queries across the life cycle of employment.

Understand the business supported beyond the HR function and influence the local organization to ensure superior operations and business outcomes.

Support line managers with recruitment decisions in line with resource planning activities.

Support compensation and benefits activities locally (e.g. Annual Salary Review, pension enrollment/liaison with the providers)

Co-ordinate people development activities by identifying needs and working with HR colleagues to source providers as necessary.

Deliver local training on corporate/regional HR products.

Support with HR projects as and when required.

Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policy and processes.

Ensure timely communications of HR related topics to client groups and businesses, in both French and English.

Recommend and draft updates to company policies and processes in line with local legislation.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of Procedures, Policies and Work Instructions ensuring best practice.

Manage various leaves files (Disability, Maternity, etc.)

Contribute to the HR weekly and monthly metrics reporting and validations for areas of responsibility.

RESPONSABILIT\xc3\x89S PRINCIPALES :

G\xc3\xa9rer les relations avec les employ\xc3\xa9s et soutenir les gestionnaires dans les processus de gestion la performance, les relations avec les employ\xc3\xa9s, de la r\xc3\xa9tention, l\'embauche et la fin d\'emploi.

Travailler avec les chefs de site pour mettre en \xc5\x93uvre les politiques d\'entreprise li\xc3\xa9es aux plans de d\xc3\xa9veloppement des ressources humaines, de l\'organisation et des employ\xc3\xa9s pour l\'unit\xc3\xa9 commerciale.

Fournir des conseils sur les pratiques et les strat\xc3\xa9gies des personnes telles que les restructurations et la planification de la rel\xc3\xa8ve.

Travailler en \xc3\xa9troite collaboration avec les membres de l\'\xc3\xa9quipe RH locale et d\'autres responsables au sein des \xc3\xa9quipes RH canadiennes.

Travailler en \xc3\xa9troite collaboration avec les sp\xc3\xa9cialistes internes du recrutement et de la formation pour maintenir l\'engagement global des employ\xc3\xa9s et le service aux parties prenantes et aux clients.

\xc3\x8atre le point de contact local pour les managers concernant un large \xc3\xa9ventail de sujets RH, par exemple : les demandes de r\xc3\xa9mun\xc3\xa9ration et d\'avantages sociaux, les questions sur la politique de l\'entreprise et les requ\xc3\xaates quotidiennes tout au long du cycle de vie de l\'emploi.

Comprendre l\'entreprise soutenue au-del\xc3\xa0 de la fonction RH et influencer l\'organisation locale pour assurer des op\xc3\xa9rations et des r\xc3\xa9sultats commerciaux sup\xc3\xa9rieurs.

Soutenir les sup\xc3\xa9rieurs hi\xc3\xa9rarchiques dans les d\xc3\xa9cisions de recrutement conform\xc3\xa9ment aux activit\xc3\xa9s de planification des ressources.

Soutenir les activit\xc3\xa9s de r\xc3\xa9mun\xc3\xa9ration et d\'avantages sociaux au niveau local (par exemple, r\xc3\xa9vision annuelle des salaires, inscription \xc3\xa0 la retraite/liaison avec les prestataires)

Coordonner les activit\xc3\xa9s de d\xc3\xa9veloppement des talents en identifiant les besoins et en travaillant avec les coll\xc3\xa8gues des RH pour trouver des fournisseurs si n\xc3\xa9cessaire.

Offrir une formation locale sur les sujets RH corporatifs/r\xc3\xa9gionaux.

Support aux projets RH nationaux ou locaux.

Fournir des conseils aux gestionnaires et aux employ\xc3\xa9s sur la politique et les processus RH.

Assurer la communication en temps opportun des sujets li\xc3\xa9s aux RH aux groupes clients et aux entreprises, en fran\xc3\xa7ais et en anglais.

Recommander et r\xc3\xa9diger des mises \xc3\xa0 jour des politiques et processus de l\'entreprise conform\xc3\xa9ment \xc3\xa0 la l\xc3\xa9gislation locale.

Contribuer \xc3\xa0 l\'am\xc3\xa9lioration continue des proc\xc3\xa9dures, des politiques et des instructions de travail en garantissant les meilleures pratiques.

G\xc3\xa9rer divers dossiers de cong\xc3\xa9s (Invalidit\xc3\xa9, Maternit\xc3\xa9, etc.)

Contribuer aux rapports et aux validations hebdomadaires et mensuelles des indicateurs RH.

QUALIFICATIONS

Professional qualification in Human Resources Management. A professional designation is an asset.

A minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role.

Able to discuss exercise sound judgment and advise management on all aspects of employee related matters in an objective and professional manner.

Excellent communications abilities with all levels of employees and management and a strong influencer with leadership decisions.

A self-starter, able to work independently while collaborating effectively withing various groups.

Ability to multitask and management sometimes conflicting priorities.

Proficiency in MS Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Proactive and self-motivated and teamwork oriented.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills in both French and English as this role will position will provide HR support to Teledyne businesses outside of Quebec.

Ability to provide onsite support and travel occasionally to other business sites.

Knowledge of Workday, SAP, Success Factors, Cornerstone and/or iCIMS would be advantageous
