As an Employment Coordinator, you will be instrumental in facilitating job placements and supporting individuals in their career development. Reporting to the Director of Community Development, your core skills in case management and communication will enable you to effectively assess client needs and connect them with suitable employment opportunities. Your premium skills in recruiting and teaching, along with relevant abilities in interviewing and training, will enhance the support provided to job seekers. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, combined with strong time management skills, will ensure efficient coordination of employment services within our organization.
Specific Responsibilities:
Reporting
Complete all necessary reports for the Provincial Government specific to the Supported Employment program
Provide monthly outcome reports to Director
Program Outcome
Meet specific program outcomes as per Provincial government for Supported Employment
Support individuals to meet their personal goals related to employment
Relationship development
Develop relationships with individuals supported to prepare for, obtain, and retain employment
Look for opportunities within business community
Connect potential businesses with Director
Knowledge and development of relationships with programs specific to employment
Supports
Support individuals to find, secure and retain employment
Provide job coaching as needed for orientation, to learn new skills and build natural supports in a work environment
Assist businesses with implementing necessary accommodations for individuals
Support individuals to access training within the community
Provide resources to individuals to overcome barriers to employment
Example: Info sessions on EIA
Qualifications:
Experience in case management is an asset
A broad understanding of disabilities
Strong working knowledge of Windows, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Office 360
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong organizational and time management skills
Effective problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize
Valid class 5 driver's license and access to own vehicle
Demonstrated ability to advocate and promote self-advocacy

Pay: $15.80-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 35 per week
