Concrete Scanning/Coring Technician Trainee

As an Xradar Concrete Scanning/Coring Technician Trainee, your day-to-day responsibilities may include:



Using GPR technology to locate and map post-tension cables, rebar, and electrical conduits in concrete structures. Performing drilling and coring to create holes and openings in concrete. Participating in fieldwork, gaining exposure to a wide range of construction projects across the city. Preparing job sites, setting up equipment, and performing clean-up and maintenance of tools. Completing job summary reports for client review. Assisting with concrete engineering surveys and developing technical skills. Interpreting technical marks in concrete slabs to guide drilling and coring accurately. Ensuring site safety by following strict health and safety protocols. Transporting and maintaining equipment using company vehicles, including logging related activity. Expanding project management and business development skills while working full-time in the role. Willingness to receive training in Calgary (weeks to months) and occasional training in Vancouver. Ability to work in all weather conditions.

On your resume, we will be looking for the following:



Minimum of 1 year experience in a labour or construction role. Solid understanding of construction safety standards and procedures. Valid Class 5 BC driver's license (required for company vehicle use). Reliable, detail-oriented, and solution-focused mindset. Experience working in varied job site conditions is an asset. Self-starter with motivation to develop skills in business development and project management.
