Concrete Laborer

Job Description

Job Summary:
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Concrete Labourer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will assist in various tasks related to concrete placement, finishing, and site preparation. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a strong work ethic. A valid driver's license is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of construction sites, including setting up forms, scaffolding, and barriers.
• Transport and handle materials such as concrete, rebar, and tools to and from the work area.
• Mix, pour, spread, and finish concrete using hand tools and power equipment under the guidance of supervisors.
• Assist in the operation and maintenance of concrete-related equipment, such as mixers, vibrators, and screeds.
• Perform general labor tasks, including digging, lifting, and cleaning worksites.
• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
• Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and worksites to ensure a safe and organized environment.
• Assist in the repair and maintenance of existing concrete structures as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a concrete labourer or in a similar construction role is preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions.
• Basic knowledge of concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing techniques is an asset.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience operating concrete-related equipment or machinery.
• OSHA or other safety certifications.
• Familiarity with reading and interpreting construction plans or blueprints.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
