Superior Asphalt Paving Company Ltd. is a COR certified, locally owned, family-run business that is a major force in the paving industry, employing more than 50 people in the spring and summer. In the winter our business turns from creation to removal where we clear snow and ice from over 200 commercial parking lots, malls, and shopping centres.

The Position:

Under the supervision of the Foreman, the Concrete Labourer will undertake physical tasks to support construction and production across all stages. Responsibilities include manual labour support, site preparation, shovelling, material handling, and basic equipment operation. This is a seasonal position with possibility of year-round employment.

Requirements, Skills & Qualifications:

- Must have a Class 5 driver's licence.

- Participate in all safety meetings and abide by all safe work practices.

- Proven experience in concrete finishing or related fields.
- Able to kneel and bend repetitively.
- Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Work in a fast paced environment.
- Must have strong work ethic, ensuring commitment to the team and the company.

- Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions.
- Capable of working outdoors in prolonged periods of hot or cold weather conditions.
- Must be able to work with little supervision and be self-directed.
- Proficient in operating power tools such as drills and saws.
- Punctual and available to work overtime when required.

- Willing to work out of town as required.
- Proficient in English communication.
- Ability to safely operate equipment.
- Able to read a tape measure.
- Willing to work out of town as required.
- Must maintain the cleanliness of trucks, trailers, job sites and tools at all times.
