Wages and Benefits

Pays range from $17 - $25/hr. Rates based on experience, skills, knowledge, effort & time management.

Paid holidays and Christmas bonus near year end.

Salaries paid weekly.

Added premium available for floor finishers with skills, experience and quality workmanship.

Positions are full time seasonal: 40-50/hours weekly, Monday - Friday, April - December.

Duties and Responsibilities

Erecting and stripping formwork for walls and slabs

Placing concrete for walls, slabs and finishing (power trowel operating)

Be comfortable with and operate hand tools, power tools, laser levels and wheelbarrows

Operate concrete cutting saws when needed

Place and tie rebar

May require operating boom truck to load & off load forms

Driving pickup trucks and trailers from shop to job site

Preform duties as assigned, safely and with attention to detail

Examine and learn to follow plans, drawings and specifications

Requirements/Qualifications

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Valid Class 5 drivers license

Ability to be flexible and work long days when required

Must have a positive attitude and some sense of humour while completing tasks properly

Have your own transportation to shop (transportation will be provided from there)

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks on construction sites with uneven ground conditions

Communicate and interact with ready mix drivers, coworkers and other trade workers

Other Assets Observed

Class 3 drivers license to drive boom truck

Carpentry knowledge

Floor finishing experience

Blue print reading

1st Aid Training

Mechanical repair knowledge
