Overview

I need a couple guys to help out with a labour intensive project in Muskoka. Could lead to full time employment for the right candidate. Must be experienced with pneumatic jackhammers and concrete saws. Must be able to get to site everyday.

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Demolition Worker to join our construction team. This role involves safely dismantling structures and preparing sites for renovation or new construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction techniques, operate heavy equipment, and utilize various hand and power tools. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse demolition projects, contributing to the successful completion of large-scale building renovations and restorations.

Duties

Safely demolish structures using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment such as excavators and bulldozers Remove debris and ensure the work site is clean and organized Assist with rebar removal, concrete breaking, and masonry work as needed Operate heavy machinery with precision, following safety protocols and schematics Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements and demolition plans Perform restoration tasks including concrete finishing, flooring installation, and caulking after demolition phases Assist in the installation of rebar and framing for new construction or renovation projects Use welding equipment for structural modifications when necessary Follow safety guidelines to prevent accidents during heavy lifting, material handling, and equipment operation

Qualifications

Proven experience in demolition, construction, or related fields Mechanical knowledge of tools, machinery, and schematics Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently Skilled in masonry, concrete forming, flooring installation, and restoration techniques Proficient with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and blueprint reading Knowledge of rebar installation, concrete finishing, caulking, and renovation processes Ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights or in confined spaces as required Strong understanding of safety procedures on construction sites Physical stamina to handle demanding tasks throughout the workday Prior experience with schematics or technical drawings is a plus

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
