The successful candidate will be responsible for
safely and efficiently dismantling existing structures and fixtures
, preparing units for renovation, and assisting with general demolition and site-cleanup tasks.
This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, safe work practices, and the ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
Experience with bathroom or kitchen demolition -- including
bathtub, vanity, and countertop removal
-- is a strong asset.
Responsibilities
Safely dismantle and remove building materials, fixtures, and structures according to project specifications.
Use hand and power tools (saws, drills, hammers, grinders, etc.) for light to moderate demolition.
Assist with site cleanup, debris removal, and material disposal.
Support other trades (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry) during renovation phases as needed.
Operate small machinery or equipment safely (experience with skid steers or excavators is an asset).
Follow all
WorkSafeBC
safety protocols and ensure a hazard-free work area.
Experience & Qualifications
Prior experience in
demolition, renovation, or construction
(preferred).
Comfortable using a variety of tools and equipment for dismantling and removal.
Basic understanding of plumbing, carpentry, or electrical systems (asset).
Physically capable of lifting, carrying, and working in confined or elevated spaces.
Strong teamwork, reliability, and attention to safety.
Additional skills such as blueprint reading, concrete cutting, or equipment operation are considered valuable.
