Concession Manager - Hudson BayYorkdale Mall, Yorkdale ONThe Kooples is looking for a Concession Manager to lead our Hudson bay women concession. Our Store Managers are responsible for driving total performance of the concession, this includes compliance with all expectations given by The Kooples and Hudson BayaEUR(TM)s management. Overall responsibilities include Customer Experience and Retention, Talent Acquisition, Management and Development, Business Acumen/Development, Visual Merchandising, and Operational Success.Customer Experience and Retention

  • As the ultimate "Brand Ambassador", the Store Manager optimizes and maximizes the Customer Experience by:
  • Ensuring all team members are a positive reflection of The Kooples in all aspects (wardrobe, energy, enthusiasm and selling behaviors)\
  • Empowering all Associates to have positive interactions with Clients that highlight Brand DNA, story-telling, and product knowledge.
  • Build relationships with customers that drives repeat business through outreach and eventing, both personally and through the store team.
  • Create brand loyalty through strong customer interactions, styling and follow up.
  • Maintaining a clean and inviting store environment, including strong execution and maintenance of visual merchandising directives and standards.
Talent Acquisition, Management, and Development
  • As the leader of The Kooples team and Brand Representative, the Store Manager will drive the overall Talent life cycle by:
  • Consistently employ strong candidates to represent The Kooples brand through recruiting, strong interviewing skills, and hiring.
  • Train team members in a timely manner, providing them with the knowledge and skills they need to be successful.
  • Provide consistent coaching, development, and feedback to elevate each team member and sharpen their skill-sets.
  • Recognizing top performers and celebrating their successes.
  • Executing tough conversations in a timely manner in order to improve opportunities in lower-performing team members.
Business Acumen/Development
  • The Store Manager is ultimately accountable for the overall business of the concession. They will drive the overall performance through:
  • Possessing a strong knowledge of retail business and the drivers of all key performance indicators.
  • Identifying behaviors that will drive the gaps in performance and providing the necessary coaching/development to the store team.
  • Creating and executing strong business plans to achieve healthy growth and ensure a strong delivery of company expectations.
Operational Excellence
  • The Store Manager is responsible for ensuring the Store is operating soundly and efficiently through:
  • Completing all inventory movements in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Receiving incoming shipments from the warehouse, and processing immediately.
  • Executing outgoing transfers to the warehouse and/or other store locations efficiently.
  • Maintaining store loss (shrink) below 1% by tracking all merchandise, monitoring all customer and employee behavior, and educating themselves and their team around loss prevention.
  • Execute all store markdowns according to the direction of date and brand standards.
  • Adhering to all standards of the organization (and partner organization). This includes standards pertaining to cleaning, visual merchandising, and maintenance.
  • Maintain all cash control policies and procedures.
  • The Store Manager is accountable for the Visual Merchandising of their store, and the connection to business results.
  • Ensure the store/pad is clean, well-maintained and well-merchandised at all times.
  • Protect key categories and items by designating the best location for that product to be merchandised.

Job Requirements:
  • Ability to work nights and weekends regularly and as needed to support the business.
  • 2-3 Years of relevant sales supervisor experience.
  • Preferred: proven experience with managing teams and direct reports, ideally in a sales environment.
