Based out of the Wilmot Recreation Complex.
General Purpose:
To provide a service to the customers and users at Wilmot Recreation Complex including, but not exclusive to the production and selling of concession food and beverages to members of the public.
Responsibilities:
Provide quality food services following operations and food preparation standards
Perform opening and closing procedures for Concession Booth
Accountable for cash handling procedures including operating cash register and balancing at the end of the shift
Maintains and records accurate inventory records
Use safe work practices and maintain a safe work environment in all tasks performed
Responsible to ensure the cleanliness of the concession and surrounding area including, but not exclusive to cleaning table, mop up spills, cleaning counter tops, tables, chairs, fridge, cooler and shelves
Responsible for the safe use of cleaning supplies and equipment
Performs maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned
Plans, prioritizes and organizes tasks to meet daily operational needs of the facility
Follows and enforces facility rules
Represents the Township in a professional, courteous and respectful manner when dealing with the public
Assists with special events as required
Provide customer service to a wide variety of arena facility users in a timely fashion
Keep the supervisor informed of issues affecting departmental operations
Plan, prioritize and organize tasks to meet daily operational needs of the facility
Perform other related duties as required and assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Cash handling skills and basic mathematical skills are essential
Food handling certificate would be an asset
Familiar with the safe use of maintenance equipment and cleaning products
Ability to exercise mature judgment in dealing appropriately with colleagues and members of the public;
Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently or within a team to meet the operational needs;
Ability to develop and maintain a working knowledge of safety precautions and hazards involved with the work assigned;
Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate tactfully, effectively, in a professional manner;
Ability to understand verbal and written instructions from supervisor and colleagues.
