People Can Fly is one of the leading independent AAA games development studios with an international team of hundreds of talented individuals working from offices located in Poland, UK, US, and Canada, and from all over the world thanks to our remote work programs.

Founded in 2002, we made our mark on the shooter genre with titles such as Painkiller, Bulletstorm, Gears of War: Judgment, and Outriders. We are one of the most experienced Unreal Engine studios in the industry and we are expanding it with in-house solutions called PCF Framework.

Our creative teams are currently working on several exciting titles: Gemini is our new project being developed with Square Enix; Bifrost, Victoria and Dagger are projects we\'re growing in the self-publishing model. We also have one project in the concept phase \xe2\x80\x93 Red; as well as two projects in VR technology \xe2\x80\x93 Green Hell VR and Thunder - a new project based on one of the IPs from the Group\xe2\x80\x99s portfolio.

Project Bifrost is a yet unannounced AAA action-adventure game developed by our North American team supported by PCF\xe2\x80\x99s European studios.



Responsabilit\xc3\xa9s

  • Fournir du mentorat, des directives et des principes de cr\xc3\xa9ation audio exemplaires pour assurer des r\xc3\xa9sultats de qualit\xc3\xa9 et des pratiques de travail efficaces.
  • Conna\xc3\xaetre l\xe2\x80\x99histoire et la m\xc3\xa9canique du jeu, les comprendre et les promouvoir aupr\xc3\xa8s de l\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa9quipe audio.
  • Travailler avec l\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa9quipe de production pour attribuer les t\xc3\xa2ches et \xc3\xa9tablir un calendrier d\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa9quipe.
  • Veiller \xc3\xa0 ce que le travail de l\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa9quipe audio respecte la direction audio, les d\xc3\xa9lais de production ainsi que les normes de qualit\xc3\xa9 et les limites de performance du moteur.
  • Monter le projet audio \xc3\xa0 partir de z\xc3\xa9ro (mise en \xc5\x93uvre dans Wwise, hi\xc3\xa9rarchies dans le mixage, etc.).
  • Proposer des projets de recherche et d\xc3\xa9veloppement (R&D) et apporter des am\xc3\xa9liorations au pipeline et au flux de travail.
  • Effectuer des corrections de bogues et d\xc3\xa9crire des \xc3\xa9tudes de cas en R&D dans la base de connaissances..
  • Analyser les sc\xc3\xa8nes pour d\xc3\xa9celer les probl\xc3\xa8mes de performance (profiler les performances, bogues de voix, etc.).
  • Utiliser tous les outils \xc3\xa0 la disposition du service pour cr\xc3\xa9er des effets sonores pour le jeu.
  • Mettre au point de nouvelles techniques pour le mat\xc3\xa9riel de nouvelle g\xc3\xa9n\xc3\xa9ration et travailler en collaboration avec les \xc3\xa9quipes d\xe2\x80\x99ing\xc3\xa9nierie pour \xc3\xa9largir l\xe2\x80\x99ensemble d\xe2\x80\x99outils audio.
  • Fournir une r\xc3\xa9troaction au quotidien et r\xc3\xa9soudre les probl\xc3\xa8mes de mani\xc3\xa8re cr\xc3\xa9ative.
  • Effectuer r\xc3\xa9guli\xc3\xa8rement l\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa9valuation du rendement des employ\xc3\xa9s.
  • Mener des initiatives de recrutement en collaboration avec les ressources humaines.
  • Assurer l\xe2\x80\x99int\xc3\xa9gration des nouveaux employ\xc3\xa9s.


Responsibilities
  • Owning and improving the Audio pipeline
  • Managing talents of the Audio team to achieve best possible result for the project and personal growth of team members
  • Designing and delivering impressive Audio moments that enhance the player experience.
  • Collaboration with the studio:
  • Production, Level Design, Game Design, Art, Animation, Lightning, Meshers, Tech Art, Programmers, all developers.
  • Provide mentorship, direction and best in class Audio principles to ensure quality results and efficient working practices.
  • Know the game\xe2\x80\x99s story and gameplay, understand it and evangelize it to the Audio team.
  • Work with production team on tasks assignment and a team schedule.
  • Ensure that the work of the Audio team follows the quality of engine standards as well as engine performance limitations, Audio direction and production deadlines.
  • Set up audio project from scratch (Wwise implementation, mix hierarchies etc)
  • Providing R&D projects and pipeline and workflows improvements.
  • Bugfixing and describing R&D case studies in knowledge base.
  • Analyzing the scene for performance issues, (Profiler, voice starvation etc).
  • Using every tool at department disposal to create SFX for the game.
  • Innovating new techniques for next-gen hardware, and work with the engineers to expand the Audio toolset.
  • Provide day-to-day feedback and creatively solve problems.
  • Conduct consistent performance reviews of staff members.
  • Conduct recruitment projects with HR collaboration.
  • Conduct onboarding to new hires.
Qualifications
  • Minimum de 7 ans d\xe2\x80\x99exp\xc3\xa9rience dans le d\xc3\xa9veloppement de jeux.
  • Au moins deux titres AAA d\xc3\xa9velopp\xc3\xa9s du d\xc3\xa9but \xc3\xa0 la fin et publi\xc3\xa9s.
  • 2 ans d\xe2\x80\x99exp\xc3\xa9rience \xc3\xa0 la t\xc3\xaate d\xe2\x80\x99une \xc3\xa9quipe.
  • Fortes comp\xc3\xa9tences en leadership et en mentorat.
  • Tr\xc3\xa8s bonne compr\xc3\xa9hension des processus de cr\xc3\xa9ation et de d\xc3\xa9veloppement de jeux.
  • Exp\xc3\xa9rience dans tous les aspects de la cr\xc3\xa9ation de contenu de jeux pour consoles et PC.
  • Exp\xc3\xa9rience de travail approfondie avec UE4 et UE5.
  • Connaissance experte des stations audio num\xc3\xa9riques (DAW) (Reaper, Pro Tools, etc.).

  • Strong knowledge of mastering and mixing per platform.
  • Strong experience with visual scripting in Unreal Engine Editor .
