We are seeking a skilled and experienced
Computer Network Technician
to join our team in Vernon, BC.Duties
Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, networking equipment, and peripheral devices to ensure the smooth operation of local and wide-area networks. Troubleshoot network issues, diagnose hardware and software problems, and implement effective solutions for end users. Monitor network performance and system operations, coordinating access and optimizing resource utilization. Perform routine system start-up and shutdown procedures while maintaining accurate operational records. Test, evaluate, and implement software applications, operating systems, and security measures to ensure system integrity. Conduct security checks and quality assessments to protect networks from vulnerabilities. Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures for future reference. Stay informed on industry advancements and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for network and system improvements.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer programming, web development, software engineering, or a related field is required. Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask and effectively organize time in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
