We are an accredited, not-for-profit organization providing treatment and support services for children and youth, from birth to 18 years, who are experiencing behavioural, emotional, developmental or social difficulties. The Centre is currently seeking to fill the following position: One Temporary Full Time Computer Network Support Specialist Non-Union Position Full Time Up to 18 Months \xe2\x80\x93 35 Hours per week In lieu of benefits & Vacation, Option to join Hospital of Ontario Pension Plan
Responsibilities:
The Computer and Network Specialist will work with the Information Services team to ensure all CCTB employees have access to the IT systems and resources required to perform their duties. Paramount to the role is maintaining network uptime, user connectivity, communications, resource availability, security and ensuring systems are up-to-date and operating optimally at a variety of physical locations in the City of Thunder Bay.
Collaboration with teams, committees, individuals and other stakeholders is required to ensure the Information Services team is well positioned to meet the IT needs of the agency. Additional activities will include researching, testing and making recommendations for new technologies, systems, platforms, devices, applications, etc. that can enhance key aspects of our systems (i.e., performance, security, usability, etc.) and help improve CCTB\xe2\x80\x99s ability to achieve our Mission and live by our Values.
All members of the Information Services team at CCTB have a shared responsibility for the duties that enable our IT operations to be successful Each member of the team is expected to ensure they have the knowledge and skill to take on any duty and/or role if/when the need arises. Qualifications: This position requires a minimum education level of a three year college diploma from a recognized and accredited post-secondary institution in an Information Technology related field along with a minimum of three years of work experience in an Information Technology related role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The incumbent must possess an in-depth knowledge of server and workstation Administration and will be required to effectively configure, administrate, troubleshoot and maintain hardware and software in a Windows network environment. Experience administering and troubleshooting Cloud based Microsoft 365, Exchange and SharePoint services is critical to success in the role. Ability to install and support networking and firewall devices in a multi site environment is a required skillset for this position. Additional Skills: Our ideal candidate has a commitment to professionalism with excellence in customer service and excellent communication skills. This position requires the ability to exercise sound judgement in making quick and accurate decisions.
A valid Ontario Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License and ability to travel within the City of Thunder Bay is required.
