SCHEDULE:



37.5 hours per week (5 days/week)

Business hours are Monday to Friday 8 am - 4 pm (Shifts are 7am-3pm, and 8am-4pm). Closed weekends and statutory holidays.

Available to work on statutory holidays (on an on-call rotational basis) if needed

Must be flexible to adapt to possible changes in work schedule in future based on business needs, potentially including evenings and weekends




JOB DESCRIPTION



Maintain inventory of sufficient supplies in dispensary to meet compounding demands. Prepare, process, dispense, and compound intravenous admixtures of antibiotics, total parenteral nutrition and other orders as per defined work instructions. Pick, inspect, verify, and disinfect all components against the order sheet to be used for compounding. Enter and program infusion pump parameters to be verified by the pharmacist. Perform validation, calibration, and microbiological monitoring and checking. Assist in the cleaning of equipment, totes, and work surfaces and maintain facility compliance with Calea standards. Maintain and participate in inventory counts

QUALIFICATIONS



Minimum 1 year of experience working in a pharmacy practice setting. IV experience or prior experience in a hospital or outpatient setting ideal, but not required. Sound knowledge of aseptic technique an asset. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities under pressure. Ability to handle multiple demands made simultaneously under short time constraints. Strong interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
