Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Compounding Assistant to join our team at Apotheca Compounding Pharmacy in Toronto, Ontario. This role involves supporting our compounding operations by preparing high-quality customized medications, maintaining strict compliance with compounding regulations, and ensuring an efficient workflow. The ideal candidate will have prior compounding experience, strong technical skills, and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an opportunity to work in a specialized pharmaceutical setting while contributing to the delivery of personalized patient care.

Responsibilities

Prepare non-sterile compounded medications including creams, capsules, gels, solutions, and suspensions according to established formulas and SOPs. Execute compounding tasks with speed, accuracy, and attention to detail. Maintain precise and complete documentation for all compounded preparations. Follow all compounding regulations, pharmacy policies, and quality assurance standards. Clean, maintain, and organize compounding equipment, tools, and workspaces. Assist in inventory management, including weighing raw materials and restocking supplies. Accept and apply constructive feedback to continuously improve skill, technique, and workflow. Collaborate with pharmacists and technicians to ensure timely and safe preparation of medications. Participate in ongoing training related to compounding procedures, equipment use, and regulatory requirements.
Skills

Prior compounding experience (non-sterile required; sterile an asset). Ability to work quickly and efficiently without compromising accuracy. Strong quick-learning ability and adaptability in a dynamic environment. Solid understanding of compounding regulations, calculations, and documentation standards. Excellent attention to detail with strong measurement and mathematical skills. Ability to accept, apply, and grow from constructive feedback. Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and maintain a clean, compliant workspace.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
