Job Description

We are seeking an organized and customer-focused Compound Coordinator to join our team at Astro Towing.





Safety, well-being, and community support are at the core of everything we do. The Compound Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the administrative and customer service aspects of the compound. This includes assisting customers at the front counter, coordinating vehicle access tasks with the Compound Attendant, and managing all necessary paperwork and documentation. This position occasionally works outdoors, regardless of weather, to assist with high customer volumes. Success in this position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.





While we operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, this position follows a Monday through Friday schedule, with working hours from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.




Key Duties and Responsibilities




Greet customers at the front counter in a friendly and courteous manner. Answer customer calls and address compound-related inquiries. Clearly communicate procedures for accessing vehicles in the compound to customers. Coordinate with the Compound Attendant to facilitate customer access to vehicles, or independently manage when the attendant is unavailable or customer volume is high. Ensure proper documentation is present when releasing vehicles and all company policies and processes are adhered to. Manage administrative tasks, including maintaining accurate records, confirming invoices, and processing payments. File and process SGI impound letters, ensuring each letter is scanned and attached to the appropriate call in the system. Ensure all SGI impound vehicles with permission to auction are communicated to management. Check storage entries daily for missing information and update as needed. Monitor compound reports for vehicles that can be applied for sale and ensure proper paperwork is completed, including the removal of license plates when necessary. Monitor vehicle storage to ensure items for extended periods are followed up on. Follow up on compound vehicles to identify owners and work toward having them retrieved. Review the ident bay to ensure vehicles are processed in a timely manner. Ensure proper documentation is present when releasing vehicles and that all company policies and processes are adhered to. Move customer vehicles around within the compound when needed to facilitate retrieval. Assist customers with vehicle needs, such as providing a battery boost or inflating a tire with air, to ensure a positive experience. Other duties as assigned or required,

Competencies Required




Must hold and maintain a Saskatchewan Class 5 driver's license and have an acceptable driver's abstract. Enjoys assisting customers with a friendly and positive attitude. Strong written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clear interactions with customers and team members. Highly organized with great attention to detail in managing administrative tasks and paperwork. Works well in a team, offering support and taking initiative to keep operations running smoothly. Confident and capable in performing tasks like boosting vehicle batteries and inflating tires to support customer needs. Able to handle physically demanding tasks, including walking, standing, and lifting, as required by the role. Remains calm and professional when addressing customer concerns, resolving issues efficiently.
