Role Summary:

CHC Helicopter has an opportunity for a

Component Planner

onsite at our Delta BC location. In this crucial role, you will ensure the availability of essential parts for both planned and unexpected aircraft maintenance events, all while optimizing inventory levels and securing top-quality parts from trusted suppliers at the best prices.


Key Responsibilities:

Demand Planning


Develop strategic plans for component demand and maintenance activities by leveraging aircraft utilization data from customers and maintenance planning


Order Management


Collaborate with vendors to facilitate the return of core units for exchange orders Expedite return of unserviceable components from customers to repair facilities Review and approve repair quotes Identify cost-saving opportunities and explore alternative sources and part number usage Monitor and expedite overdue deliveries from suppliers and internal workshops


Order Fulfillment

Ensure timely supply of serviceable components to customers as per contracts and planned dates Maintain and monitor target stock levels at bases with the inventory/planning group to support customer contracts Analyze and make recommendations for purchase or movement of units to support fleet


General

Deliver crucial data including induction forecasts, repair costs, and overhaul costs to finance to drive informed budgeting and strategic planning initiatives. Collaborate with vendors on quality issues to meet safety and quality standards Identify components with poor reliability or high cost and collaborate to find solutions Adapt to evolving needs by taking on additional responsibilities as required

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes:
Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Planner, preferably within aviation Strong background in supply chain or manufacturing environments with proven experience in optimizing processes and enhancing operational efficiency Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word & Teams) - AMOS experience an asset Detail oriented and mechanically minded Self-motivated and results oriented with a focus on quality Demonstrates exceptional listening, verbal, and written communication skills essential for effective collaboration and information exchange in a fast-paced environment Excellent collaborative problem-solving skills with an ability to implement solutions Ability to multitask in a rapidly evolving and dynamic environment Demonstrated team player with excellent interpersonal skills and customer focus


Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

Aviation work experience * Training/experience in Continuous Improvement (Lean, Six Sigma)
