As a Compliance Process Specialist, you will coordinate Provincial Court, Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB), and development security deposit processes. You will also provide administrative services and support to the Development Inspections Team. Primary duties include:


  • Prepare court documents, court briefs and prosecution disclosure packages, and compile court file, trial and fine revenue statistics and reports. Draft, coordinate, and track service of summonses. Maintain prosecution files for submission to the Law department.

  • Ensure accurate entry of information into various systems. Maintain and administer data in applicable systems, spreadsheets, and databases.

  • Draft Municipal Government Act (MGA) orders and Assist in the preparation of documents for SDAB appeals.

  • Coordinate with the Law Department Prosecutions Section to determine and coordinate court activities and operations.

  • Ensure compliance to existing corporate policies and procedures in relation to content & retention of records, records management practices and privacy requirements of legislation. Create, classify, store, track and dispose records.

  • Provide administrative services related to development securities, including financial data entry, document preparation, mailing, filing, processing, and secure storage of monetary instruments.

  • Attend the provincial courthouse to pick up and drop off court documents and create and maintain physical court files in various systems.





Qualifications

  • A completed 1-year certificate in Administration, Business, Communications, Legal Assistance or a related field with at least 5 years of related experience OR

  • A completed 2-year diploma in Administration, Business, Communications, Legal Assistance or a related field with at least 3 years of related experience.

  • Previous experience with transcription, legal procedures and legal document preparation is required.

  • Working knowledge of administrative law and prosecutions processes is also required.

  • A valid Class 5 Drivers License (or provincial equivalent) with no more than 6 demerits and no current charges or suspensions pending; OR A valid Graduated Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License (GDL) with no more than 4 demerits and no current charges or suspensions pending.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat is required.

  • Experience with Content Server, Public One Stop Service Experience (POSSE), Customer Service Request (CSR), and Justice Online Information Network (JOIN) will be considered an asset.

  • You have exceptional communication skills with strong organizational skills and demonstrated time management skills with the ability to manage constantly changing priorities.

  • Well developed attention to detail is critical for success in this role.

Pre-employment Requirements

  • A security clearance will be conducted.

  • Must obtain a City of Calgary operator\'s permit

  • Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications.

Compensation: Pay Grade 7 $33.33 - 44.60 per hour (2023 Rates)

Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
work week with 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.




Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
