Position Schedule:

Full-Time



The Compliance Manager is a pivotal role that acts as a strategic consultant and project leader within the Compliance division. Reporting directly to the Director, Compliance (Business Enablement), this position is responsible for the intake process and support for the prioritization and execution of Edward Jones Canada firm priorities, as well as the Canada Compliance division's regulatory change and program evolution portfolios. This role provides regulatory expertise and guidance to various stakeholder groups, supporting strategic alignment and compliance across the organization.



Key Responsibilities:

Provide project leadership supporting the Business Enablement Compliance team by serving as a subject matter expert on the Canadian regulatory environment and regulations including interpreting and advising on their application to firm priorities and business initiatives. Partner closely with the Director, Compliance (Business Enablement) on the Edward Jones Canada Priority work, managing and coordinating execution and providing guidance and assistance on these projects as needed. Lead Strategic Compliance Initiatives: Act as the single journey owner (SJO) for key Compliance program initiatives by leading division team(s) through project planning and execution. Conduct Regulatory Research: Perform in-depth analysis of existing and emerging regulatory requirements, delivering actionable insights to the Director, Business Enablement and other stakeholders. Develop and maintain Regulatory Resources: Working closely with the Sr. Compliance Officer (Program and Governance), create and manage Compliance reference materials, ensuring the Business Enablement Compliance team and business leaders have access to accurate, up-to-date regulatory guidance.

The salary range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a potential new associate.

Skills/Requirements





Position Requirements:




Bachelor's degree in related field 6-10 years experience CSC and CPH preferred or within 6 months of hire Comprehensive understanding of Canadian regulatory requirements, particularly CIRO standards as they apply to wealth management. Proven experience in compliance, risk management or regulatory advisory roles with a demonstrated expertise in risk-reward assessment, creative problem solving and business priorities. Excellent communication skills with a track record of fostering collaborative relationships across departments. Critical analysis and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Preferred Knowledge:



Advanced knowledge of the wealth management industry including product development, client service models and industry best practices. Proficiency with regulatory technology tools and data analytics and how to leverage them to enhance compliance and decision-making efficiencies.
