We're expanding our legal and compliance function and are looking for a

Compliance & Legal Assistant

who's ready to roll up their sleeves, dive into the details, and help keep our rapidly growing organization aligned, compliant, and operating with integrity.

About the Role

As a Compliance & Legal Assistant, you'll work closely with our Chief Compliance Officer and internal legal team to support everything from contract drafting to compliance documentation and policy governance.

You'll help maintain the legal foundation that allows Consumer Genius to scale confidently across multiple countries -- ensuring our contracts, processes, and governance frameworks remain airtight.

This is a high-visibility role ideal for someone with legal drafting experience, sharp organizational instincts, and the ability to manage complex priorities in a fast-paced, digital-first environment.

What You'll Do

Draft, edit, and organize legal documents, contracts, and compliance policies. Support company-wide compliance programs under frameworks such as PIPEDA, GDPR, TCPA, and CASL. Conduct targeted research to support risk assessments and policy updates. Maintain version-controlled legal templates and policy libraries. Prepare summaries, reports, and executive-ready compliance documentation. Assist with contract renewals, tracking, and governance processes. Provide administrative and operational support to the compliance and legal teams.

Who You Are

2+ years of experience in a Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or Compliance Assistant role (corporate or law firm). Diploma or degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or Business Law. Excellent drafting, editing, and communication skills -- you're the person who catches what others miss. Skilled with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and document management platforms (DocuSign, Adobe, etc.). Highly organized, discreet, and proactive -- you anticipate needs before they're voiced. Curious, adaptable, and eager to grow alongside an ambitious, innovative team.
