We are a family-owned business dedicated to producing high-quality ice cream products. Our plant is currently CFIA, BRC, and Peanut-free certified. We are looking for a dedicated, reliable, and detail-oriented individual to join our team.

The

Compliance & Operational Manager

will oversee all aspects of compliance, implement new projects and processes, and conduct internal audits to ensure operational efficiency while upholding the highest standards of food safety. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional departments, active leadership in production and shipping, and strong commitment to continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or related field (advanced degree/certification an asset). Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and standards (HACCP, BRC, CFIA, etc.). Proven experience in compliance or QA within food manufacturing (dairy or similar preferred). Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing teams. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of staff. Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). Hands-on leadership style, detail-oriented, and motivated to drive improvements.

Duties

:

Partner with the QA Manager to ensure food safety across the organization. Ensure compliance with SOPs, SSOPs, HACCP, BRC, CFIA, Vendor Standards, and other regulatory requirements. Conduct internal monitoring reviews and prepare compliance reports. Actively participate in BRC, CFIA, and client audits, and lead corrective action implementation. Communicate audit findings and collaborate with departments to resolve compliance issues. Motivate and manage Production and Shipping teams, including hiring, training, performance reviews, and discipline. Oversee compliance documentation for new equipment, procedures, and processes. Develop job aids, best practices, and compliance training materials for staff. Assist in updating manuals and policies to reflect regulatory changes. Support procurement of new equipment by researching compliance and compatibility. Address and respond to Corrective Action Reports from regulatory agencies. Lead monthly staff meetings, collect feedback, and promote safe, efficient practices. Participate in strategy meetings with Senior Management to align compliance and operational goals. Perform verification checks and document reviews (e.g., glass and brittle plastic monitoring).
The position is 40 hours a week, Tuesday to Friday, 10-hour shift. Flexibility is required to meet the scheduling of production as required for production needs.

Pay: $57,813.00-$68,000.00 per year
