Job Description

Discovery Gymnastics is currently looking for enthusiastic, experienced, self-motivated individuals with NCCP certification of at least Level 1 Competition Intro in Artistic Gymnastics. Coaches must have good working knowledge of Artistic Gymnastics Competitive (JO) Program up to Level 6 and Xcel program.

Summary

As a Competitive Gymnastics Coach, you will be responsible for training and mentoring athletes in gymnastics techniques and routines, ensuring their safety and skill development. Reporting to the Head Coach, you will utilize your core teaching skills to foster a positive and motivating environment. Your First Aid Certification will be essential in maintaining athlete safety during practice and competitions.

Responsibilities

Instruct and coach gymnastic students in various techniques and routines, ensuring proper form and safety. Develop training programs tailored to individual skill levels and goals. Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback. Maintain a safe training environment, adhering to First Aid protocols. Collaborate with other coaches and staff to enhance overall gymnastic programs. Promote teamwork and sportsmanship among students during practices and competitions.

Successful candidates must have the following requirements:

? Minimum of Competition 1 Intro (trained)

? Level 1 Trampoline or willing to obtain

? First Aid and CPR or willing to obtain

? Risk management, Respect in Sport, Safe Sport and Making Ethical Decisions

? At least one year of competitive coaching experience is required.

? Available to work some afternoons, evenings and weekends

*Required to attend competitions

Some choreography may be required
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
