Community Support Worker \xe2\x80\x93 Saskatoon

CBI Health is hiring Community Support Workers to service clients in the Saskatoon areas. The CSW will provide assistance clients with development disabilities/mental illnesses who require assistance with community interaction, personal goals and homemaking. The younger adults might have behavioural concerns and the CSW will ensure their safety and their well-being in the community. Our clients can range from a wide variety of ethnic cultures and different age groups who will be cared for in a residential care setting.

In this exciting role as a CSW, you will:

  • Develop and maintain positive and effective communications with the individual(s) and their families, management, co-workers and all others that are involved in the individual\xe2\x80\x99s care.
  • Complete the necessary records and documentation in accordance with, Residential care and licensing and department of Family Services and Labour requirements.
  • Maintain established logs (individual and communications log books, medical records, food intake forms, progress notes, evaluation of programs) on a daily basis and address any needs or concerns.
  • Read all meeting minutes, log entries, incident reports, and memos.
  • Prepare incident reports and ensure that they are submitted to the Team Leader or Residential Operations Manager).
  • Abide by confidentiality parameters.
What we are looking for:
  • A satisfactory Criminal Record Check including the Vulnerable Sector Search that is valid within 3 months.
  • Valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver\'s license and reliable vehicle with a minimum $2 million liability insurance.
  • Experience working with adults, youth, and adolescents.
  • Food Safe Certificate is an asset.
  • Experience working with clients who have challenging disabilities such as Autism, ADHD and behavioural issues, considered an asset.
  • Valid CPR level /First Aid Level \xe2\x80\x9cC\xe2\x80\x9c certification is required.
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certificate or Professional Assault Response Training (PART) would be an asset.
  • Ability to work both Saturday and Sunday
