Position Summary






Do you thrive on building partnerships, strengthening community programs, and driving positive change? KCR Community Resources is seeking a Community Services Manager to lead initiatives that promote volunteerism, enhance not-for-profit capacity, and expand community-based programming. In this leadership role, you'll oversee Volunteer Okanagan programming, support the Crisis Line Manager, and champion Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion work both internally and externally. You'll also play a key role in fund development, communications, and fee-for-service programming, ensuring that KCR's services are visible, sustainable, and impactful across the Central Okanagan.

Reporting Structure:





Reports to the Director of Services




Prime Functions:




Program Supervision


Oversee Volunteer Okanagan programming; promote volunteerism in the Central Okanagan and support other not-for-profits with volunteer management best practices Support the Crisis Line Manager in the delivery of all Crisis Line services Develop new not-for-profit capacity building initiatives; promote all initiatives in community Lead KCR's Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion work both in house and in the community

Communications & Relationship Building


Build and maintain relationships with community partners, not-for-profit organizations and local employers in person, on the telephone and by email Represent KCR professionally at community meetings and events Create relationships with local media; advertise programs and services using a variety of mediums Oversee standardization of KCR branding and marketing

Development - Resource & Fund


Plan for department and community programming needs Budget and monitor expenses for department programs Source grant opportunities that align with Community Services department core competencies and KCR mission Promote fee for service programs in line with annual targets Support the creation of marketing materials and packages; distribute using a variety of channels Track and report deliverables; maintain program statistics

Qualifications:




Education in business, volunteer management, marketing, non-profit management, or similar field of study Minimum of 3 years of experience leading service teams and overseeing various projects/programs Strong written and verbal communication skills Expertise in strategic marketing, campaign development, and social media management Strong computer skills
