COMMUNITY RESOURCE WORKER 1 for Westhaven 2

(1 part-time, permanent position available)

About the position:

McMan's Disability Services Program is seeking to recruit a dedicated CRW 1 to support three (3) males with developmental disabilities to enrich their quality of life in their homes and communities.

Hours:

Saturday and Sunday from 8:00am-8:00pm; 24 awake hoursper week.

Location:

Edson, Alberta.

What you'll do:

Connect with and develop helping relationships with individuals with disabilities.

Acting as a strong advocate for individuals in the community.

Work effectively as a team with the individual and their support team to help achieve their goals.

Completion of daily documentation.

Support the personal care of individual and participate in recreation and leisure activities.

Perform administrative and cleaning duties relating to the operation of the home.

Participate in on-going program development.

What you bring:

Completion of a High School Diploma.

Six (6) months experience working within the Human Services field.

Equivalencies may be considered.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Security Clearance Check; including the Vulnerable Persons Sector Check (from within the last 6 months).

Emergency First Aid-Level A CPR + AED.

Valid Class 5 driver's license with a minimum of 3 years of verifiable driving experience, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance (minimum $2 million coverage).

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Computer/Word processing skills.

Ability to assist with personal care.

Ability to implement approved restrictive practices.

Rate of Pay:

$20.19- $21.41 per hour, depending on experience
