Future of Engagement (FoE) is a non-profit organization with the start-up mindset and the goal of making our democracy work for all communities in Canada. FoE leverages technology and data analysis toge marginalized and underrepresented communities in all aspects of Canada's politics.
Informing communities about political processes and services
Bring together volunteers with diverse personal and professional backgrounds to develop resources for underrepresented communities.
Develop tools that help community leaders set up strategic campaigns, mobilize supporters, and promote their agendas.
Will represent Future of Engagement and work with partner organisations around Toronto to organize and coordinate public events and support FoE's research and partnership teams. Main tasks will involve managing community partnerships, event logistics and coordination, and public speaking. This job will provide hands-on experience to youth interested in pursuing future roles in areas of operational management, strategic communications, and stakeholder management.
Tasks and Abilities
Coordinate and maintain relationships with community partners to support ongoing collaboration and engagement.
Organize and manage the logistics of public events, including scheduling, outreach, and on-site support.
Gather insights from residents to inform FoE's research and ensure community priorities are reflected in campaign efforts.
Build networks with local leaders, activists, and organizations to explore opportunities for joint initiatives and equity-focused programming.
Contribute to accessible outreach by supporting translation, cultural adaptation, and inclusive communication practices.
Key Skills and Abilities
Ability to speak confidently in public settings
Leadership in coordinating volunteers and local events
Speaking multiple languages (Mandarin/Cantonese, French, Urdu, etc.)
Adaptability and collaborative problem-solving
Basic research and data gathering
Time management and ability to work independently
Relationship-building and stakeholder coordination
Essentials
2 month contract: July and August 2025
$19 an hour, 35h/week
Canada Summer Job: Must be under 30 years of age with either canadian citizenship, permanent residency or refugee status
