We are seeking a passionate
Community Outreach & Partnerships Coordinator
to strengthen relationships, expand Mara's referral network, and increase awareness within care homes, hospitals, community agencies, and local organizations.
Position Summary
This role is responsible for
field and relationship-based growth
-- connecting directly with community partners, families, and healthcare organizations to generate referrals, build trust, and convert inquiries into active clients.
The Outreach Coordinator will represent Mara at events, establish referral relationships, and ensure clients and families receive the personalized attention that defines Mara's standard of care.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, Community Relations, or related field.
Minimum
3-5 years of experience
in community outreach, healthcare relations, or business development.
Experience in
home care, long-term care, or public health settings
preferred.
Strong understanding of PHIA/PIPEDA privacy laws and client confidentiality.
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
Cultural awareness and experience working with
Indigenous and diverse populations
.
Proficient with CRM tools, Google Workspace, and virtual communication platforms.
Must hold a valid driver's license and be comfortable traveling within Manitoba for events and meetings.

Key Responsibilities
Community Relationship Building
Build and nurture strong referral relationships with
Care Homes, Assisted Living and Retirement Residences, Clinics, Discharge Planners, Pharmacies, Indigenous Health Offices, Long-Term Care Facilities, Community Health Centres, and Social Service Agencies
.
Conduct outreach visits, presentations, and check-ins with partners to share information about Mara's Home and Health services.
Serve as the
main liaison
between referral partners, families, and the Mara intake team.
Develop community presence through sponsorships, collaborations, and health promotion initiatives.
Client & Family Engagement
Coordinate and attend
in-home or virtual assessments
for private clients, working alongside nurse practitioners or care coordinators.
Follow up with clients post-assessment to ensure satisfaction and continuity of care.
Manage and track client inquiries, referrals, and relationships through Mara's CRM system.
Gather client feedback, testimonials, and success stories to inform marketing and operations.
Community Events & Representation
Represent Mara at
community health fairs, senior events, Indigenous gatherings, and local conferences
.
Organize and participate in
Mara-hosted events
such as foot care clinics, caregiver workshops, and women's health days.
Collaborate with the Marketing Strategist to ensure event materials, messaging, and follow-up systems are aligned.
Collaboration
Work closely with the Marketing & Business Development Strategist to align sales efforts with campaigns and promotions.
Provide on-the-ground feedback on market needs, competition, and community insights to guide marketing strategy.
Support the collection of testimonials and community letters for use in proposals and campaigns.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
