We are seeking a motivated, energetic and compassionate Community Occupational Therapist to join our team. We are located in and work throughout the interior, mainly in Revelstoke, Salmon Arm, Kamloops, Armstrong, and Sicamous, BC. We offer both part-time and full-time positions with flexible scheduling options. We are a small occupational therapy company that is focused on creating a positive team environment and excellent care for our clients.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including ICBC and WSBC clients, pediatrics, and those needing home health services. This position involves community-based work, meaning that we meet clients where they are most comfortable and work both independently and as part of a supportive team to help them achieve their goals. We offer paid mentorship as a part of this role so that you feel confident in your job as a community therapist. We want to see you thrive!

We are looking for individuals who excel at creating positive relationships with clients and colleagues. The ideal candidate has a client-centred approach, is a self-starter who consistently holds themselves to a high standard of performance, and is passionate about helping clients achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, and team members.

- Conduct assessments and deliver client-centred occupational therapy services tailored to individual needs.

- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercises

- Develop and implement treatment plans focused on functional improvement.

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.

- Document and monitor client progress with accurate and timely reporting.

- Stay current with best practices through ongoing professional development.

- Travel to client locations within the community to provide on-site therapy services.

- Adapt to and learn new technologies to enhance service delivery.

Qualifications:

- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

- Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC) or eligibility for it.

- Experience in community-based therapy, ICBC, WSBC, pediatrics, or home health is an asset.

- 1 year working as a community occupational therapist is an asset.

- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Comfortable with learning and using new technologies.

- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
