Position Purpose Summary: This position will work with all the clients who access our services in the Weyburn Ministry Unit. Through our Family Services programs and the food bank. This position will also see to the day to day office operation. This is a permanent full time position at 40 hours per week. Shifts are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Meet with clients
  • To assist our clients with their needs for assistance with the food bank
  • To run programs in the Family Services; backpack program, summer lunch program, Christmas Adopt a Family, Christmas Kettles and Pathway of Hope
  • Develop new programs with the assistance of the Director and Corps Officer

  • Reporting
  • Keep accurate confidential records of client assistance through Link2Feed
  • Keep accurate stats through SAMIS
  • Create and maintain list of reports required for health and safety compliance purposes.
  • Support external reporting requests as needed. (ex; Food Banks Canada)
FINANCIAL AND OFFICE MANAGEMENT:
  • Accepts monetary donations
  • Receipts all donations
  • Makes regular bank deposits
  • Keeps accurate records of all deposits
  • Submits invoices
  • Assists with the scheduling of employees
  • Enters employee hours into Ultipro
  • Keeps employee files up to date including training opportunities
  • Enter materials management requirements for this position.
  • Other duties as assigned
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Office and Food Bank Room
  • Little to no travel

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:


Education, Qualifications and Certifications:
  • Grade 12 or Equivalent
Experience and Skilled Knowledge Requirements
  • Training will be provided

PREFERRED SKILLS/CAPABILITIES:


  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Good computer knowledge
  • Able to lift 30lbs
  • Able to work weekends/evenings during special events
  • Attention to detail, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong sense of integrity and confidentiality with professional ethics and a balanced sense of fairness and flexibility.
