To provide front-line support to our guests and Community & Family Services team, ensuring smooth service delivery.
Hours: On-call/ Casual
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains confidentiality and keeps accurate guest files and statistical records.
Assists with the distribution of food hampers.
Receives and inventories donations.
Plans prepares, and helps serve hot meals on Wednesdays and Fridays.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma
Some post-secondary certifications are an asset (social work, psychology, etc.)
Food Safe certification is an asset
Experience:
1-2 years working the public/customer service.
Some experience working with vulnerable populations is an asset.
Due to the nature of some of the work, a reasonable level of physical fitness and strength is required.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
Strong computer and interpersonal skills are an asset.
Class 5 driver\'s license
Able to lift up to 75 lbs (food pick-ups; may have )

Clear vulnerable sector screening.
A clean driver\'s abstract.
FOODSAFE BC Level 1 preferred (training required during first two weeks of employment if successful candidate not already certified)
