: Under the direction of the program manager and working within an interdisciplinary mental health and addiction team, the Community Mental Health Nurse, in adherence to nursing practice standards, will provide a range of clinical services to a population of children, youth and families living with acute and persistent mental health disorders. The Community Mental Health Nurse will be accountable for the provision of screening, assessment, referral, case management, treatment, as well as, program development and evaluation.
Required Qualifications
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Registered or eligible for registration with the Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan (RPNAS)
Bachelor Degree in Nursing or Bachelor Degree in Psychiatric Nursing
Experience
Experience
- Requires a minimum of two years (post graduate) recognized experience in a mental health setting working with children, youth and families presenting with acute and chronic mental health problems.

- Ability to travel as required by position (valid Saskatchewan Driver's License)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of diverse health issues, culture and traditions
Knowledge of normal child and adolescent development and psychopathology
Knowledge of community psychiatric nursing clinical standards of practice and the ability to develop and ensure compliance of those standards related to a community mental heath setting
Leadership abilities and the ability to work within a change management model
Interpersonal competence, including effective problem solving and conflict resolutions skills
