About the Role:

Reporting to the Social Media Manager, you will help build and engage with the audiences for some of Canada\xe2\x80\x99s leading social brands across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and X. You have a passion for social media, television, and lifestyle content and enjoy creating, building and being part of a dynamic team and industry.

You will contribute by:

  • Manage content calendars and execute social strategies across social platforms, including scheduling and posting all content.
  • Build our social & digital communities, drive engagement and conversation with support from the Social Strategist.
  • Respond to viewer and fan requests in a timely and appropriate manner. Provide customer service and conduct crisis management and escalation.
  • Support and assist with paid social campaigns as required
  • Experience with content creation for social \xe2\x80\x93 video, graphics, photos, GIFs, stickers, etc.
  • Education for key stakeholders on best practices specs and other considerations, as needed for social. Additionally, assist with asset coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to ideate, edit, execute, and package small-scale social productions (e.g. X Q&As, Instagram Lives, etc.)
  • Compose compelling, creative, and on-brand copywriting to engage audiences.
  • Contribute to brainstorms with the Lifestyle team around social and digital content for our brands.
  • Conduct social research, both proactively and reactively, and keep up-to-date on evolving industry trends.
  • Apply social insights to content creation and posting strategy.
Skills and experience you will bring:
  • A minimum 1-2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience managing large social audiences.
  • Understanding of various platform, social algorithms, and analytics.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong organizational, prioritization skills and attention to detail.
  • Independent and self-reliant, but a collaborative team player.
  • Ability to receive, implement and give constructive feedback.
  • Strategic thinking and creative problem-solving
  • Social design and editing experience( Eg. photo and video editing, graphic design etc.) Experience using Adobe Creative Suite an asset.
  • Experience managing multiple, large social audiences.
  • Comfortable with Content Management Systems and publishing natively to social platforms.
  • A growth mindset \xe2\x80\x93 always willing to test and try new strategies and content
  • Understanding of the Canadian entertainment industry, as well as emerging trends in TV, social, and digital.
  • Experience in content creation, optimization and adaptation in nimble industry or space.
  • An understanding that you will need to work outside of the standard office time, occasionally during events or premiers.
  • Passion for understanding social audiences and a desire to brand building
  • Deep understanding of social data, digital and social analytics, and an overarching view of the social landscape.
  • Good to have visual media experience a plus (photography, videography)
