The Role

As a Community Manager, you\'ll be an integral part of growing & engaging the world\xe2\x80\x99s first LearnOps Community. This role requires close collaboration with various teams within Cognota, including our CEO, Marketing, and Customer Success, contributing significantly to the growth and engagement of our community ecosystem.

This is an opportunity for a hands-on and passionate person with a flair for community building, digital engagement, event coordination, and business growth. Your role will be pivotal in driving our online presence and fostering real-world community experiences in an effort to continue to lead the new LearnOps category.

This role will report directly to the VP of Marketing and Growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and maintain robust community-led initiatives aimed at expanding and enriching our community about LearnOps.
  • Create, manage, and support community events. You\xe2\x80\x99ll work cross-functionally to create and manage community-led programs, including roundtables, webinars, expert Q&As, product office hours, and interviews to meaningfully connect with our users.
  • Communicate directly with our community to answer questions, collect feedback, and channel these insights back to our marketing, sales, and product teams.
  • Coordinate and oversee community responses and engagement, ensuring a consistent and value-driven community experience.
  • Recruit and engage L&D/industry subject matter experts and content contributors both internally and externally, creating ambassadors for a thriving community dialogue.
  • Curate, invest in and connect users with extraordinary community-created product education. Our community creates incredible articles, videos, and other educational materials that teach and expand the capabilities of Cognota.
  • Manage full event lifecycle and experiences from planning, budgeting, to post-event analysis including webinars, virtual roundtables, and in-person meetups as needed.
  • Work closely with internal teams to define a strategy that produces community-qualified leads and KPIs while tracking performance and program ROI.
  • Grow the function. This is just the beginning. We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for an independent, self-starter, who is ready to define and execute on the strategy with urgency to help scale our business.
Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of community management and event marketing experience.
  • Your working style is hands-on - \xe2\x80\x9cdone is better than perfect\xe2\x80\x9d - and have a natural sense or urgency with execution.
  • Have a track record creating, owning, and measuring initiatives that have broadly impacted B2B software products or programs.
  • You take full ownership of initiatives and are proactive about capturing new opportunities.
  • You\xe2\x80\x99re analytical and can comfortably use data to inform your strategies.
  • Strong communication skills and comfortability with public speaking, both in person and virtual.
  • You\xe2\x80\x99re detail-oriented and love to document everything \xe2\x80\x94 for you, for your team, and for the community.
  • You\xe2\x80\x99re comfortable working in an environment based on outcomes, collaboration, and transparency.
  • High level of project management skills and ability to effectively manage and deliver on multiple targets.
  • Charismatic; able to influence others and work effectively across teams and with the community to impact positive change.
  • An empathetic and curious nature with a passion for understanding and serving the community.
Nice To Have
  • LMS, Corporate Learning & Development and/or B2B software marketing experience
  • Experience working in a startup/scale-up environment and not afraid to be hands-on
  • Experience working remotely
