WANTED: AN ONLINE COMMUNITY MANAGER WHO
is an expert at creating, developing, and maintaining positive and engaging online communities where members feel welcome and supported.
Precision Nutrition is looking for a community manager with a strong coaching background, whos passionate about nutrition, fitness and health. The successful candidate will work directly with the Director of Community Engagement and the Community Moderators, as we build and nurture a brand new consumer facing community.

Who were looking for
A talented community manager with ability to engage and support our online community
Youre an exceptional communicator. You are able to communicate effectively with members of the community, as well as members of the PN Team. You know how to get your message across clearly and concisely. You know how to stay on top of communications and be clear about what you want. You are comfortable on camera.
You write well. Be it social media posts, emails, or nutrition tips, you are able to write compelling and shareable content to engage online communities. A background in communications, writing, or creative writing is an asset.


Your coaching game is on point. Whether nutrition or movement, you have coached others in making changes, breaking down goals and implementing small steps in their lives. You have provided support and accountability along the way. PN L1 and L2 certifications are an asset.


Your knowledge of social media platforms is top-notch. You have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the social media platforms where our community is active with an emphasis on Facebook.
You know the tools of the trade. You are familiar with social media scheduling tools, graphic design tools (like Canva), as well as the usual remote work staples like Slack, Zoom, and Google Suite. Familiarity with health/wellness apps and tools like MyFitnessPal, Noom and Peloton is an asset.
You take initiative. When it comes to ideas for content, posts and initiatives you do not need to be told what to do.
You have outstanding customer service skills. You are able to handle inquiries and complaints from community members in a professional and efficient manner.
You are highly empathetic and diplomatic. You are able to build relationships with community members and other stakeholders while maintaining a professional and diplomatic demeanor and you have the conflict resolution skills to deal with difficult situations that may pop up in the community.
You are a strategic-thinker. You are able to develop and implement strategies to grow and engage the community, increase brand awareness, and drive conversions.
You understand the value of a data-driven approach to online community management. You are able to analyze data on community engagement, user behaviour, and other metrics to assess the effectiveness of community initiatives and adjust strategies as needed.
You're flexible and resilient. PN is a fast-evolving company, and you have to thrive in an environment where you're always learning. You're comfortable wearing other hats from time to time, and rolling up your sleeves to get things done even if certain tasks are above or below the usual scope of your job.
Youre a prioritizing multi-tasker with a sense of urgency. Youre a highly organized problem-solver, you know how to prioritize, adapt quickly when the scope changes because it often will and thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You are adept at managing your time to effectively respond to inquiries, manage community activities, and plan and execute campaigns in a timely manner.
Youre self-motivated and can work independently and remotely. Once you are confident in what you need to do, you can run with it and dont need a lot of direction. You have strong self-structure and discipline, and have worked remotely either currently or in the past, so you know the benefits and the challenges.
Youre a team-oriented, people person. You know how to communicate and coordinate. You earn and give respect so that you can collaborate effectively with your team. Oh, and since you get to do all of this remotely, from the comfort of your home, your people skills will need to be truly first class.
What you\'ll be doing
Initiating conversations about nutrition, movement, and health in our new consumer-facing community.
This is a customer-facing role which means YOU are the spirit of PN. You will be involved in many aspects of running this community, including:

• Initiating conversations and increasing engagement with thoughtful posts meant to educate and guide.
  
• Monitoring and moderating discussions and content to ensure it adheres to community guidelines and policies.
  
• Driving various engagement strategies in collaboration with the Director of Community Engagement.
  
• Welcoming new members into the community.
• Answering the members questions, pointing them to resources or tapping into other team members to come up with the best solution.

And on the coaching side..

• Answering nutrition-related and exercise-related questions.
  
• Reviewing results from the macro / weight loss calculator and help members implement the suggestions into their lives.
• Guiding members to discover their own answers.

A few important caveats
This is a dream job, if youre the right person for it.
Must-Have #1: Experience managing large online communities. This isn\'t your first rodeo. You have experience managing large online communities, and developing and implementing strategies to grow and engage them. You know how to moderate discussions, while maintaining a supportive and respectful atmosphere.
Must-Have #2: Ability to write effectively. You have outstanding writing skills and experience creating compelling, shareable content that resonates with online communities. You can present information in a way thats relatable and applicable to everyday life.


Must-Have #3: Coaching know-how. You are passionate about living a good life, and helping others do the same. Identifying big goals, breaking them down, and implementing them is your jam.
