The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is passionate about serving people in need. This person should be comfortable conversing in both English and Punjabi. This job is a great opportunity for someone interested in gaining quality experience working in the non-profit sector.

(Canada Summer Jobs - 8 weeks, 35 hrs/week)

Location:

Surrey HQ (8381 128 Street) + field travel within the Lower Mainland

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, occasional evenings/weekends for events

Compensation:

$18.00 Hourly wage per CSJ guidelines

What You'll Do

Engage face-to-face

with community members at homes, gurdwaras, markets, and festivals, sharing SAF's story and inviting them to give or volunteer.

Cultivate relationships

with existing donors and child sponsors--answering questions, providing program updates, and processing on-the-spot donations.

Collect and log data

(contact info, donation details, feedback) accurately in our CRM.

Support call-outs

to lapsed or prospective donors when in the office.

Represent SAF

at info booths and fundraising events; help set up displays and capture photos for social media. Promote current campaigns

Requirements (Education, Skills, and Knowledge)

Exhibiting professionalism Driver's license Car availability Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident Be ready and willing to work 35 hours per week
