The Francis Winspear Centre for Music is seeking a dynamic individual to become our next Community Investment and Group Sales Manager. Job Summary: Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing & Business Development, the Community Investment and Group Sales Manager is responsible for engaging with corporations and throughout the community as an ambassador for the Winspear Centre, Edmonton Symphony Orchestra and Tommy Banks Centre for Musical Creativity. The Community Investment and Group Sales Manager generates revenue through the sale of corporate sponsorships, corporate grants, and group ticket sales. The individual will be a key team member to build ongoing corporate relationships, encourage affinity, demonstrate the spirit of reciprocity throughout the community, and ensure that the Winspear Centre is not only financially sustainable but also solidifies lasting impact in the community. This is a full-time position working at home and at the Winspear Centre and requires the ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on the needs of the position. Candidates who do not reside in the Edmonton area must be willing to relocate at their own expense. What you will do:
  • Proactively pursue and renew corporate sponsorship sales and group sales to generate revenue
  • Develop and maintain a strong and healthy relationships with B2C and B2B clients, advertisers, community partners, and corporate sponsors and donors
  • Create proposals in the sponsorship sales process, sponsorship contracts, and fulfillment reports after each season
  • Fulfill all contractual obligations
  • Develop strategies and new assets to engage and excite potential and existing B2C and B2B clients and sponsors
  • Pursue and grow B2C and B2B prospects
  • Attend concerts to make client visits
  • Create integrated team environment within Marketing & Business Development, Business Analytics, and Box Office teams with the new Business Development and Group Sales leads and executions
  • Support and engage corporations to invest in the Capital Campaign and stewardship of corporate donors/ subscribers
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with sales, advertising, and marketing
  • Proven experience and record to secure sponsorship, community investment, or business development
  • Experience working and thriving in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills including the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Effective skills in budgeting, writing, and time management
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of computerized information systems and their applications, including OPAS software, Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint
