Kardel is a CARF-accredited agency providing residential and day service supports in the Victoria, Sidney, Nanaimo, and Duncan area. The services Kardel provides are funded by Community Living BC.

JOB SUMMARY
Organizes and implements social, recreational, educational and life skills activities and programs designed to meet the individual needs and interests of people being supported. Activities may take place within the Community Inclusion center or in community settings.

Maintains appropriate ethical boundaries in all interactions with people being supported.
Supports individual to communicate needs, choices and preferences, and supports the use of inclusive communication strategies.
Supports and promotes friendly and cooperative relationship with families of people being supported.
Supports and promotes a friendly and cooperative relationship with co-workers; contributes to mutually supportive team atmosphere.
Supports and promotes friendly and cooperative relationship with CLBC representatives.
When in attendance, contributes positively to staff meetings, special events.
To be aware of and adhere to Kardel policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Community Support Worker diploma or equivalent
OR
Minimum 1 year of experience in community social services or disability support work
Current Emergency First Aid/CPR-C certificate
Negative TB test
Must be 19 and over
Criminal record clearance for vulnerable adults
Class 4 or Class 5 BC driver's license (Class 4 required for permanent position)
Personal vehicle (Required for permanent position)
