Catholic Social Service is currently seeking a part time (27 hours/week) Community Disability Worker I in Red Deer to join our Residential Services team. Providing excellent client-centered care, you are confident, thoughtful, and motivated to achieve success when supporting others in your community!

Job Summary:

As a Community Disability Worker, you will provide high quality supports to adults with developmental disabilities who live in a residential setting.

Motivated, compassionate and organized, you will enthusiastically assist by providing residential supports while promoting dignity, independence and empowerment. Open to learning new things, you will teach independent living skills, provide companionship, support behavioral challenges, provide personal care, and implement programs tailored to individual needs. You will be required to accompany individuals on outings and engage in activities supporting their interests as well as their well-being. You are self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable working both independently and part of a service team. You have great relationship building skills and are proficient with computers.

Hours of work are based on the needs of the individual, therefore, shifts may vary and include days, evenings, and weekends.

Education & Qualifications:

• Grade 12 education
• A minimum 1 year working with persons with developmental disabilities will be considered an asset
• Vulnerable Sector Check issued by the RCMP or City Police
• Clear and current driver\'s abstract
• Standard First Aid Certification considered an asset
• A vehicle and Class 5 driver\'s license - requirement to transport clients in your personal vehicle
• Proof of vehicle insurance showing $2 million liability coverage
