Reporting to the Dept. Head of Communities South, the Community Campus Adult Education Coordinator (CAEC) for the Carcross Campus, is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing various activities, events, and programs that enhance the student learning experience. You will work closely with students, faculty, staff, and external partners, to ensure that all campus operations run smoothly and effectively and are compliant with institutional requirements. You will also directly manage some budgets and resources for the campus.To be successful as a campus coordinator, you will need to have a bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field, or demonstrable equivalent experience in coordination, event / project / program management, or student affairs. You will need to have exceptional customer service and organizational skills. You will need to be able to work independently at times, while fostering teams-based solutions to supporting campus work as part of the University as a whole. You will need to be creative, innovative, and adaptable to changing needs and situations by addressing multiple tasks simultaneously frequently. The CEAC will also bring a passion for the job by making connections and looking for ways to fund identified contract programming for the campus and community.This position liaises extensively with representatives of the Carcross / Tagish First Nation governance structure, Yukon, municipal, and Canada governmental representatives, local and regional employers, appropriate business and industrial associations, tertiary providers of educational and related services, other university personnel, and stakeholders. The CAEC also advises the Department Head, the Executive Director, and other university staff about opportunities and challenges related to the implementation of the Community Plan, the institutional Strategic Plan, Academic Plan, and related directives.
