The Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA) provides client care and treatment under the guidance of Speech-Language Pathologists. The incumbent is responsible for speech and language service delivery, targeting care plan goals established by the Speech Language Pathologist.

Provides speech-language therapy under the guidance of a Speech-Language Pathologist Collaborates with internal and external service providers to provide integrated service delivery to clients and families Maintains department's materials Assists the Speech-Language Pathologist with documentation, preparation and monitoring Documents client progress towards achieving treatment goals
Maintains knowledge of current best practices

Assists in booking and preparation of parent training programs Plans, creates and implements activities for language groups Assists in data collection Adheres to the policies and procedures Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Graduate Certificate Communicative Disorders Assistant Eligible for membership in the Communicative Disorders Assistant Association of Canada. Alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered.
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:

Previous work or volunteer experience with children Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally Ability to work independently and within a transdisciplinary team. Utilize a family-centered approach in service delivery.

Pay: $25.50-$29.98 per hour
