Job Description

Thank you for your interest in the Communicative Disorders Assistant position with Inclusive Milestones Children Development Centres (IMCDC).

This position is responsible for delivery of speech-language pathology services for children with various speech, language and communication needs in 1:1 and group settings as assigned and supervised by our Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in compliance with IMCDC policies and procedures. We provide individualized and comprehensive assessments as well as unique treatment programs for each of our clients. Inclusive Milestones is looking for an energetic and creative Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA) to provide speech therapy under the guidance and supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist (S-LP).

Duties & Responsibilities:

To provide speech therapy to children regarding speech and language programming, resources, accommodations, and modifications for children as per the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (S-LP). To work with children from different background and specialized populations. To collaborate and consult with S-LP and other company professionals. To create and develop therapy materials as needed. To provide families with resources, information and home programming. To complete thorough communication logs outlining session details to caregivers. Participate in continuing education classes and workshop to remain current and up to date within the field. To actively participate alongside supervising SLP in multidisciplinary team, and family meetings to support a collaborative approach. To model language facilitation strategies and the use of visual communication devices/systems to other team members. To implement, troubleshoot and support AAC communication. To collect data and complete SOAP notes thoroughly and on time using company EMR. To maintain Speech department equipment, materials and resources. To perform other duties as assigned by Clinical Director.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:



Communicative Disorders Assistant Certificate or other related fields of education. 1-2 years of experience is preferred, but new grads also welcome to apply Minimum one year related experience working with children with various exceptionalities is required Proficient verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills are required.
