Job Description

Overview

We need a storyteller for Southwest New Brunswick. The successful applicant will be well spoken, excellent at written communications, comfortable on camera, outgoing, energetic, and well organized. You will need to have demonstrable skills in video content creation (both shooting and editing) and graphics creation skills. You will also need to be familiar with corporate management of social media platforms (analytics, scheduling, monitoring, etc.) and website updating, as well as more traditional documentation and document creation.

This position will involve travel around the region, which includes Fundy Shores, Eastern Charlotte, Grand Manan, Saint Andrews, St. Stephen, Campobello, McAdam and all points in between - we supply the wheels, but you will need a clean drivers license. Our office is located in St Stephen, and there may be occasional work-from-home opportunities. This is a fast-paced, high-performing and dynamic environment.

Some activities will include, but are not limited to:

Weekly visits to different parts of the region for content creation and posting Creation of monthly newsletters about all facets of the organization Maintenance of our corporate and tourism websites Management and monitoring of social media channels Regular meetings with department heads and CEO, with an expectation of contribution of new ideas Occasional public appearances and presentations (yes, public speaking is part of it) Creation and publishing of social posts for various activities Point of contact for tourism promotion activities, including communication with tourism business operators Evaluation and monitoring of tourism campaigns Develop written materials including press releases, Q&A, media standby statements on brand and corporate issues as required Occasional production of longer form video content

Requirements:

Excellent skills and experience in writing and verbal communications Demonstrable skills and experience in photography and video production (small scale, social media style - think cell phone / action camera / Pocket 3 / ZV-E10 vlog style, not movie production) Video & photography editing skills Comfortable on camera alone or in groups Graphics creation skills Strong organizational skills Drivers license with clean abstract Criminal record check Proficiency with office software Ability to effectively manage deadlines A creative mind Fluency in verbal and written english, french is a "nice to have"
