Communications Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a creative and organized individual who has worked in the communications field for 1-2 years and is eager to grow with our Club. By joining our team, you will lead the development and enhancement of our marketing materials, website and app, showcase events and strengthen the Club's presence. In this role, you will work closely with the department's leadership team, members and committees to ensure effective and streamlined communication across the Club.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop creative marketing material to highlight the Club's facilities and promote club events, functions, programs, and activities to members, guests, and the community. Collaborate closely with the senior leadership and various departments to design and create marketing and communication materials aligned with departmental goals. Coordinate with internal staff and outside contractors to produce club calendars, email updates, newsletters, brochures, and other communication materials. Improve and update the Club's website, app, and social media platform content to deliver a user-friendly and appealing experience. Engage with committee leaders to develop, refine, and deliver their communication to the membership. Establish the Club's branding strategy, ensuring consistent messaging and a cohesive visual presence across all communications. Capture photos and videos of club events for use in communication content. Track and analyze communication performance metrics to optimize future efforts. Develop and monitor members and staff surveys when needed. Any additional communication-related tasks assigned by the manager.

Qualifications:

Degree or diploma in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field. 2 years of experience in communications, marketing, or content creation. Proficiency with photography, video production, design tools (e.g., Canva) and managing website and app content. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage diverse age groups. Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Proven ability to deliver creative and innovative marketing solutions. Comprehensive writing, editing, and proofreading skills. A proactive and self-motivated attitude and attention to detail. Private club experience is an asset.
