The Position
Plan International Canada is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Communications Coordinator to join our team. This person will be working with both our PR, Events & Influencer Engagement team and our Brand, Content and Creative Services (BCCS) team.
This role primarily focuses on managing administrative and organizational tasks for all matters related to both teams, including budgeting, vendor liaison, procurement and invoicing. The Communications Coordinator also provides crucial support to ensure the smooth execution of various communications campaigns and special projects. They are responsible for various project management tasks, including overseeing timelines, coordinating logistics, managing documentation and assisting various team members in their respective initiatives. They also provide critical support to support media relations efforts, including monitoring, reporting and analysis.
What success looks like?
Provide strong administrative support, coordinate multiple projects while building strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders across multiple departments.
Maintain organized records of communication materials, campaign assets and media coverage, as well as content the Communications team creates.
Conduct ongoing media monitoring and daily news scans to track coverage related to Plan International Canada and relevant industry news.
Develop monthly and quarterly PR reporting, including tracking ambassador and influencer partner engagement.
Assist as needed in ensuring relevant KPI data is gathered and updated in quarterly tracking documents.
As our ideal candidate you will have:
Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, problem-solve and manage multiple deadlines.
Extensive experience in project coordination and/or administrative roles.
Keen attention to detail and demonstrated resourcefulness and initiative.
Educational specialization in administration, project management, communications, marketing, influencer relations, public relations and/or a related field.
Familiarity with media monitoring tools (Cision, Meltwater and/or MRP) and reporting techniques an asset.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a highly collaborative team environment.
