Job Description

The Web Content Coordinator is responsible for the planning, development, implementation and ongoing daily maintenance of the corporate content of CAMH's external website camh.net (English and French), as well as the intranet. Reporting to a Manager, Communications in the Public Affairs and Communications team, the Web Content Coordinator will work collaboratively with all parts of the hospitals to support the development and posting of web content. Working with a Content Management System (CMS), the coordinator posts English and French content on CAMH sites using the CMS; reviews and edits content to ensure it is current, complete, user-friendly and consistent with CAMH's policies and guidelines; coordinates the work of content contributors; creates or adapts new content; and works collaboratively with French Language Services to arrange the translation of content into French and ensure that content meets French language requirements. Other duties include assisting program areas in using the web as an effective communications tool, being the first line of support for end users on content-related issues, troubleshooting web issues or escalating them to the appropriate IT staff, and promoting the use of -CAMH websites throughout the organization. The Web Content Coordinator will support the enhancement of CAMH's web vehicles in an increasingly complex environment. They will help to monitor the usability of CAMH websites and establish, maintain, update and ensure compliance with website content standards, policies and procedures, as well as workflow and web publishing processes. They regularly monitor and report website usage patterns and statistics to key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

University degree in online communications or similar field and 3-5 years experience as a web content coordinator, or the equivalent combination of experience and education. Excellent knowledge and experience with web concepts, including site architecture and design, and skill- with web-based applications and languages such as HTML, XML, Java, style sheets, finding solutions to cross-platform - and network issues. Experience with Content Management System concepts and implementation. Strong MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Quark, In Design, Dreamweaver and graphics manipulation skills, as well as an eye for layout and design. Skills and experience in communications and marketing. Self-starter with strong organizational and prioritization skills needed to handle multiple assignments in a complex, high pressure and time sensitive environment. Requires customer service orientation, with negotiating and problem-solving skills, sound judgment and attention to detail. Solid team player with exceptional interpersonal skills able to work collaboratively with a variety of people at all levels. Familiarity with the addictions and mental health field is an asset. Please Note: This full-time position is the part OPSEU bargaining unit.

Salary Range: $25.78 - $34.77 per hour
