Are you a hyper-organized, outgoing, enthusiastic team player with strong writing skills that enjoys working in a fast-paced team environment? This a perfect opportunity for a PR graduate with a couple years of solid experience to bring their communications skills, positive attitude, and desire to succeed to our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend internal meetings and take minutes for distribution
  • Arrange monthly communications (e-blasts)
  • Draft sector communications (with assistance of other internal departments/stakeholders as required)
  • Event Planning/Coordination (such as Town Hall meetings, Aecon Civil Charity Golf Tournament, etc.)
  • Create ad-hoc PowerPoint presentations as required
  • Prepare Project Risk Committee (PRC) docs as required
  • Maintain library of resumes for proposal
  • Maintain library of project sheets and contact lists
Required Knowledge and Experience
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in communication or a related field
  • Prior experience in a public relation, communication and/or business development environment
  • Exceptional written/oral communications skills
  • Highly organized with demonstrated ability to plan and execute multiple priorities with tight deadlines and meticulous attention to detail
  • Problem solving, planning and organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, work to timelines
  • Bilingual (French/English) is an asset
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint
  • Knowledge of ADOBE Illustrator/InDesign software is an asset
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is an asset
  • Event planning/logistics experience is an asset
  • Digital / social media savvy is an asset
