Are you passionate about making a positive impact through strategic communications and marketing? The YMCA of Southwestern New Brunswick is seeking a dynamic and creative individual to join our team as a Communications Coordinator.

The Opportunity

As the Communications Coordinator, you will play a vital role in administering various communications, marketing, and social media strategies, ensuring they align with our mission and contribute to the fulfillment of YMCA goals.

Responsibilites

  • Provide marketing and social media support for key YMCA programs.
  • Maintain and update online marketing and communications strategies.
  • Implement marketing strategies for YMCA lines of business.
  • Uphold brand guidelines and messaging consistency.
  • Generate compelling written and graphic content for various platforms.
  • Review and update signage at Y sites for a consistent visual presence.
  • Support organizing events for community engagement.
  • Capture moments through photography and video.
  • Collaborate on charity brand awareness and fundraising events.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor\'s Degree, Community College Diploma, in a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Graphic design experience required (Adobe InDesign, Canva).
  • Experience in basic web design/editing is considered an asset.
  • Proficient in social media content development and monitoring.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages considered an asset.
  • Heightened sensitivity to the needs of children and families.
  • Employment is contingent on having a clean Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
