Salary: $28 to $29.50 per hourWe are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Communications Coordinator to join our Ontario Government client's team on a temporary assignment. Reporting to the Public Affairs Manager, this role provides strategic and logistical support to ensure the success of public affairs initiatives.Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and analyze media coverage, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
- Coordinate responses to media inquiries and manage the media mailbox.
- Support logistics for publications, meetings, and organizational events.
- Draft and edit communications, including news releases and internal updates.
- Maintain media monitoring schedules and ensure compliance with record-keeping requirements.Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or Political Science preferred.
- 1-3+ Years of experience in communications, media, or public affairs; familiarity with regulatory or government environments is an asset.
